Wave double Sharks in penalty-filled affair

Bell Island scored early - just 50 seconds into the contest - and often - they had four goals by the end of the frame - and didn't look back in Friday night AESHL action

Colin Shaw had two first period goals and his first of the game chased Sharks netminder Lee Noseworthy. The Sharks managed a two-goal flurry from Mike Hoskins and Matthew Jewcyzk to halve the deficit and actually drew to within one goal at 2:11 of the third period on Hoskins second goal of the evening.

However, the Wave's Chris St. Croix replied a scant 32 seconds later and the uprising was quelled.

The game turned chippy once the outcome was obvious and the end result was a combined 178PIM.

Bram Dawe made 35 saves for the winners and Lee Noseworthy had nine in a losing effort.
